Rion had a really good time at the birthday party today. The birthday girl got to go swimming which was good. She had something that covered up her cast. There were a few more friends from school and they all had a blast. They had a lot of fun on the water slide. Rion really worked up an appetite. He had three pieces of pizza after swimming and another one right before we left. Rion's friend was also sharing her birthday with her sister. They both opened their presents and since they are close in age, they got a lot of the same things. I love my little girl, but I am so happy I have two boys. My head was spinning from the constant gifts of Barbies, makeup, Hannah Montana, Disney princesses, and High School Musical. I prefer the Legos and video games the boys get. Although I'm quite sick of the Pokemon and Bakugan. I'm still holding on to some hope that Cordelia will be more tomboyish, but it's not looking good.
Torii ended up not putting up a fuss when we left him at Grandpa and Grandma's. It was such a beautiful day and Torii and Cordelia got to play outside. Pictures will be coming soon. They built a snowman and went sledding. We stayed a little too long because Torii was ready for bed and he fussed when we left. It is suppose to be really nice tomorrow again so I hope to get outside. The snow is melting fast and we need to play in it some more before it's gone!
When this blog was started I had two rowdy boys who never sat still. I tried to keep them busy with crayons and a coloring book. Yah, right. The crayons disappeared and were discovered months later, half melted in one of the heating vents. Since then we have added a daughter to the mix. And yes, she will sit down and color!

Birthday party
Tomorrow Rion is going to his friend's birthday party. I haven't said much with Torii around, but Rion let the big news out tonight. He told Torii it's a swimming party, which made Torii very excited. I had to tell him he wasn't going and he got very upset. He couldn't understand why he wasn't invited. After all, he was having so much fun playing with her at Rion's party. He insisted they were friends and he should be able to go too. Poor guy. I explained to him that when he starts school he'll make new friends that don't know Rion and he'll get to go to parties that his brother isn't invited to. Which then made Rion upset. I told Torii he was extra lucky because he gets to go to Grandpa and Grandma's while Rion is at the party. I'm not sure if he bought it or not. I guess I'll see tomorrow when I drop him off.

Injuries
Here's what I did to Cordelia. It doesn't look so bad now, but it looked pretty bad the day I did it. Why does my girl seem to get hurt more than the boys? The boys are a lot wilder. And Cordelia wasn't the only injury that day at Snoopers. One of Rion's classmates fell and broke her arm. She is wearing a cast now and is having a swimming party this weekend for her birthday. I feel so bad. I hope she will be able to swim and still have a good time.

Birthday boy
Rion had a very good birthday weekend. On Saturday he got to pick out what we had for lunch and dinner. He picked out Kid Cuisine meals for lunch and pizza for dinner. He wanted supreme pizza which really made me happy because we are the only two that eat it so I usually don't get that kind. I also wanted to go to Coldstone and get his free ice cream, but he wanted to stay home instead. The coupon is good until Saturday so I hope we can make it up there by then.
On Sunday he got to bring his six pennies to church school. Everyone that had a birthday in the last week gets to bring pennies and as the kids drop the pennies in the bank everyone counts. I had totally forgot about this tradition and didn't even realize it when I saw the church bank at the beginning of the year. Then the first kid went and started dropping pennies in the bank and I instantly remembered. There is a very distinct sound from that bank and the memories came back as soon as I heard it. It was so funny when the music instructor asked if there were any birthdays and Rion's faced just lit up. He was the first one out of three down there.
Sunday afternoon was his birthday party at Snoopers. He had four friends from school come. I think everyone had a really good time. It was hard to get anyone to leave. Torii keeps asking me when we can go back. He wanted to go today, but I told him it was closed. (Yes, I occasionally lie to my kids). Rion's friends are all really nice kids and I'm glad they came. I also tried to get some pictures of Cordelia today but she wouldn't sit still. I hurt her at Snoopers. She was getting down from a chair in the toddler area, (the part I thought she would be safest at), and started to fall. As I tried to grab her, my fingernail caught her above the eyebrow and down her cheek. She looks like she was in a fight. I got her real good and it actually looked a little puffy today. Poor girl.
