The carnival

On Saturday night we went to the annual St. Mary's carnival. Rion did not want to go, but later that night he said he was glad he went. Once again we parked at the Capitol and took the shuttle over to the school. That was Rion's favorite part of the carnival last year and this year was no different. The boys had a lot of fun as usual. They also did really good at the games. Torii won a couple of stuffed animals and a big candy bar on games and Rion picked a couple of winner lollipops for stuffed animals. The night got a little long for them and they were ready to go and we still had a lot of tickets to spend. So we dumped a bunch of tickets at the fish pond and the sports card grab. We always seem to win at least one really good prize from the sports card grab. As Fred was going through their packs he found a winner for a stuffed animal. I think Torii grabbed that pack, but Rion didn't win a really big prize and he was getting frustrated each time that Torii won his. So we told Rion he had won and he picked out a blue teddy bear. He picked that one because he had the same teddy bear at home, but in purple, that he won at the same booth the previous year. We had a really good time and Auntie Vicki bought the kids some cookies to take home. And no calls yet to tell us we won the car. Maybe next year....
